Keiichi Ishibash(Bass,Arranging,composing) '52 born in Himeji,Hyogo. '71,at the age of 19(university student),started to play bass professionally. '77,won the 3rd prize at the Japan amateur&professional jazz competition. '79,started to study at Berklee College Of Music in Boston with a scholarship. '81,awarded [Eddie Gomez jazz master's award] '82,awarded [Duke Ellington jazz master's award]&[Roy Haynes award] Winner of the downbeat magazine's student jazz competition as the best group (with a pianist Makoto Ozone) Graduated Berklee College Of Music at the top of the list. Moved to New York City to study with George Mraz. Played with many great jazz musicians like Billy Harper,Wynton Marsalis Brandford Marsalis,Marvin Smitty Smith,Jeff Watts,Lew Tabackin,Jackie&Roy and many others. '84,back to Japan and lived in Tokyo. Played with many great Japanese jazz musicians like Sadao Watanabe,Terumasa Hino,Masaru Imada,Kimiko Itoh,Katsumi Watanabe,Yosuke Yamashita,Fumio Karashima and many others. Recorded many film music,TV commercial music beside of the jazz CDs. Played on the TV shows many times like[What A Fantastic Night][Sound Of music] the educational program[jazz No Okite]etc.. '94,returned to the hometown Himeji. '95,opened the jazz club[WISH]and started to produce musicians. '96-'99,produced Yumesaki Jazz Festival. '00-'05,produced the debut CD's for Junko Ochi,Woong San,Rika Tanaka,WA-M beside of the project of the tours of Salena Jones,David Kikoski,Randy Brecker etc... '06, began to work as a sound therapist and carried the joint research with scientists in RIKEN Brain Science Institute. '08, restarted playing bass beside of sound therapy job.
